Disclaimer
Last updated: 8 September 2026
This Disclaimer applies to the Mellow Kids website, mobile application, educational content, digital tools, personalized sleep plans, consultations, and related services provided by Mellow Kids AB (“Mellow Kids,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
1. Educational and behavioural support
Mellow Kids provides educational information and behavioural sleep support for parents and caregivers of children, primarily from birth to two years of age.
Our content and services are intended to help families understand sleep patterns, routines, temperament, and age-appropriate sleep practices. They are not medical or healthcare services.
2. Not medical advice
Information provided through the Mellow Kids website, app, emails, assessments, personalized sleep plans, consultations, WhatsApp support, notifications, or other communications is not medical advice and must not be used as a substitute for advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified healthcare professional.
Mellow Kids does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure medical conditions or sleep disorders.
Always consult a doctor, pediatrician, nurse, or other qualified healthcare professional if you have concerns about your child’s health, development, feeding, breathing, growth, safety, or sleep.
Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information provided by Mellow Kids.
3. Emergencies and urgent concerns
Mellow Kids is not an emergency or crisis service.
If your child appears seriously unwell, has difficulty breathing, is unusually difficult to wake, has a seizure, shows signs of severe dehydration, or you believe there may be an emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
In Sweden, call 112 in an emergency. For non-emergency healthcare guidance in Sweden, contact 1177. Customers outside Sweden should use the appropriate healthcare and emergency services in their country.
4. Safe sleep
Parents and caregivers remain responsible for making decisions concerning their child’s health, safety, sleeping environment, and care.
You should always follow the current safe-sleep and child-safety recommendations issued by the relevant public-health or healthcare authorities where you live. If advice from Mellow Kids differs from instructions given by your child’s healthcare professional, follow the healthcare professional’s advice.
5. App calculations and personalization
Some Mellow Kids app features provide age-based recommendations, suggested schedules, wake-window information, Smart Predictions, or other personalized guidance based on information entered by the user.
These features use rules-based calculations and patterns developed by the Mellow Kids team. Their outputs are estimates and suggestions, not medical assessments or guarantees.
Children’s needs and sleep patterns vary. Recommendations may not be accurate or appropriate in every situation and should be considered together with your own observations and any professional healthcare advice you have received.
6. Voice-command interpretation
Where available, voice commands may be converted into text by services on your device. The resulting text may be processed using an artificial-intelligence service to interpret the command and identify the app action requested.
This feature is provided for convenience. AI-assisted interpretation may misunderstand, omit, or incorrectly classify information. You should review any entry created through a voice command and correct it if necessary.
Voice-command functionality must not be used for medical decisions, urgent concerns, or emergencies.
7. Personalized sleep plans and consultations
Personalized sleep plans and consultations are based on the information supplied by the customer. Their usefulness and appropriateness depend on that information being complete and accurate.
Customers must tell Mellow Kids about relevant circumstances that may affect the service, including health concerns or advice already received from a healthcare professional.
Mellow Kids may recommend obtaining approval or guidance from a qualified healthcare professional before beginning or continuing a plan. We may also decline, pause, or adapt a service where a matter appears to require medical assessment or falls outside our professional scope.
8. No guaranteed results
Mellow Kids does not guarantee that a child will sleep for a particular duration, sleep through the night, follow a proposed schedule, stop waking, or achieve any other specific outcome.
Results differ between children and families and may be affected by development, health, temperament, environment, consistency, family circumstances, and factors outside our control.
Testimonials, examples, reviews, or descriptions of other families’ experiences do not guarantee that another customer will obtain the same result.
9. Professional qualifications and review
Mellow Kids’ sleep-related content and consultancy services are developed using professional experience, relevant training, research, and recognised behavioural sleep principles.
Where content has been reviewed by another professional, that review does not create a healthcare-provider relationship between that professional and the user. It also does not turn the content or service into medical advice.
Any professional-review statement applies only to the content that was actually reviewed.
10. Editorial content and external sources
Articles, guides, lessons, newsletters, social-media posts, and similar materials are provided for general educational purposes.
Although we aim to keep our information accurate and useful, knowledge, research, and official recommendations can change. We do not guarantee that every item will remain complete, current, or suitable for every family.
References or links to studies, organisations, products, services, or third-party websites do not necessarily constitute an endorsement. Mellow Kids does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, privacy practices, or services.
